TSAGHKADZOR

International modern ski resort Tsaghkadzor (definition: flower harbor) is situated in the territory of Armenia, in the region Kotayk; and has population equal to 2000.

This wonderful town-58km far from Armenian capital Yerevan to North-East and 70km far from international airport “Zvartnots” -is situated on Eastern slop of mountain Teghenis, at left beach of river Marmarik with 1845m height from sea surface and is surrounded by thick woods. Mild winter climate coincide with wonderful conditions for ski resort. Warm sunny days are about 270 in quantity during the year, and in the same time the height of snow lay is about 1.40m.Ski season starts from the middle of November to the middle of April.

The residence has been called “Tsaghkunyats dzor’’ and served as summer residence and hunting area for royal dynasty Arshakunyats. “Kecharis” church complex/from 11 to 13centuries/ which was one of the cultural and educational centers of medieval Armenia takes it’s unique place among sightseeing.

Due to it’s wonderful nature and comfortable climate Tsaghkadzor is considered to be “second home” for many scientists, writers, artists, etc. We advice to visit the museum after br.Orbeli, which is accepted by the world(one of the brothers-Hovsep Orbeli, was director of State Ermitazh during the World War II).

Habitants in Tsaghkadzor are friendly and hospitable, with high culture of winter tourism and various tours.
